It’s really seductive to use this space to inflate my ego and to tell you what makes me special. But it also sounds snooty and intentionally vague when I don’t give you any information. So, here’s my story.
I grew up in California’s Central Valley. 18 years of ghettos, cows, small towns, small minds, Asthma inducing air, and a year with only 2 seasons was enough to make me want so much more.
So I moved to Flagstaff, AZ for perspective. I changed my major 4 or 5 times, got engaged, got unengaged, got angry, got sad, got inspired, got a job with the Forest Service and got the itch to move.
Now I’m here in Washington. After taking a couple years off, I’m a finishing a year of high-level mathematics and physics at a community college before moving again to finish my degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
I love nature. I love writing. I love improving the world around me.
I write this blog for myself as a means to catalog and explore ideas, but I feel privileged to see how it reaches every one of you reading this.
If I communicate anything with you, I hope it is that conviction, passion and courage can change the world and that it is within your means to reach it. I also hope that, on occasion, I can make you laugh.
